Padel scoreboard for beginners: always know who serves and what's next

Short answer

PadelRef is a padel scoreboard that shows the score big, marks who serves and from which side and, if you like, says it out loud after every point - so the only thing on your mind is the next ball.

Free to score, voice free to try. No accounts, no cloud.

PadelRef scoreboard at 30-15 in the first game, with the gold serve dot on Team A's side
What you hear Thirty - Fifteen Team A serves from the left.
  • You always see who serves: a gold dot and the side letter, R or L.
  • You hear the score after every point, so nobody has to keep count.
  • The tie-break shows up on screen when it starts, and the app knows who opens it.

Grows with you

Every announcement has its own switch and a preview that says it out loud. Start with everything on and drop what you no longer need. Here's a game win at each stage:

  1. Starting out · everything on Game Team A. 2-1. Team B serves from the right.
  2. Getting there · score only 2-1
  3. Seasoned · callout only Game Team A

The hard part isn’t the ball

When you start playing padel, following the match is almost harder than playing it. Was it fifteen or thirty? Who serves now, and from which side? Is this the tie-break already? Four players keep four scores, and by the third doubt the point is played with your head somewhere else.

PadelRef keeps the score for all four of you. Put the phone where everyone can see it, tap the winning team’s half of the board, and the board does the rest.

What you see

  • The score, big. Numerals you can read from the back of the court, with the screen awake for the whole match.
  • Who serves. A gold dot in the serving team’s corner and a letter beside it: R when they serve from the right, L from the left. The app works it out every point, tie-break included - who serves, explained.
  • Which phase you’re in. A “TIE-BREAK” or “SUPER TIE-BREAK” banner appears only when it applies.
  • What just happened. Under the score, a line of text with the current point.

What you hear

With voice announcements on, PadelRef calls the score after every point, server’s score first, like an umpire. Turn on “Announce who is serving” and it adds who serves next and from which side: “Thirty - Fifteen Team A serves from the left.” Game and set wins are announced too, with the games score.

The voice speaks seven languages. It’s free to try; Premium announces every match. More on what it says in the scoreboard with a voice.

The rules, without memorising them

Golden point, advantage or star point, best of three or five sets, with or without a super tie-break: you choose when you set up the match and the app applies the rules for you (every format is on Features). Tapped the wrong side? Undo the last point and carry on.

And once you don’t need to hear everything, switch announcements off one by one. The board stays, just as big.
