Padel scoreboard on your Apple Watch
A padel scoreboard on your wrist: with PadelRef on your iPhone, tap the winning team's half of the board on your Apple Watch and the score updates instantly.
Free to score, voice free to try. No accounts, no cloud.
- You score with a tap on your wrist, without taking the phone out of your pocket.
- You undo the last point from the watch, with a haptic tick confirming every tap.
- If the iPhone is out of reach, the watch keeps scoring and syncs when it's back.
What you see on your wrist
The same match as on the phone: two halves in each team’s colour, the gold dot and the serve-side letter, the sets in the top band, and the tie-break and super tie-break pills. There are two layouts, side by side or stacked, in the colours of the theme you use on the phone.
How you score
Tap the winning team’s half of the board. The watch shows it straight away and taps your wrist to confirm. Got it wrong? The undo button is in the bottom bar. When the match is over you can start the rematch from the wrist with two taps: one to arm it, one to confirm.
When the iPhone stays on the bench
The watch doesn’t need the phone app open. Close it, or leave the phone out of range, and the watch keeps scoring on its own and says so on screen. The points go back to the iPhone as soon as the watch and the iPhone reconnect, and if the match was ever scored on both at once, the phone lets you choose which version to keep. Nothing is merged silently.
What you need
- An iPhone with PadelRef: the watch app comes with it. The Apple Watch works with iPhone only.
- watchOS 9 or later.
- Scoring from the watch counts as a remote match: it’s free to try, and Premium lifts the limit.
Everything the watch does is on Features.
Playing on Android?
A Bluetooth remote does the same job from your pocket or clipped to your shirt. Below are the guides to the ones we’ve tested.

Frequently asked questions
Does PadelRef work on the Apple Watch without an iPhone?
The PadelRef watch app is the companion to PadelRef on your iPhone: the match is set up on the phone. Once it's under way, the watch keeps scoring even with the iPhone out of reach, and the points go back to the phone when the watch and the iPhone reconnect.
Is there a version for Android watches?
No. The PadelRef watch app is for Apple Watch with iPhone only. On Android, PadelRef lets you score without touching the phone using a Bluetooth remote.
Which watchOS version do I need?
The PadelRef Apple Watch app needs watchOS 9 or later and an iPhone running PadelRef.
Can I undo a point from the watch?
Yes. The PadelRef watch app has an undo button in its bottom bar, and it works even after the match has finished, in case the last point was mis-scored.
